HONEY, I LOVE A GOOD BARGAIN.

Why do drugs when you can get a high from saving your

HARD. EARNED. CASH!?

There is just something about seeing a sale sticker on something you ALREADY need to buy, that just gets the endorphins rushing faster than when a five year old hears the ice cream truck. Who am I kidding, it's equal to when even I hear the ice cream truck.

I left my house today (what a rare occasion) to buy some stuff for my semester in London. I decided to give you the good ol’ run down because I picked up some key items I have been meaning to buy, which hopefully will inspire you (or not, IDC) Good news though: Most of the things I got were ON SALE!! Now I have *almost* everything I need before leaving. I have t-minus 29 days from when I am writing this to get the rest so there’s plenty of time. *smiles to hide anxiety*

And with that... let’s just jump right in.

LUGGAGE

I finally got luggage! I feel like a real adult now!

(Bri +50 Adult Points) I picked up this two piece set from my local Sears for 50% OFF! I got this 30" roller AND matching 20" carry-on for a steal at $120. They are spacious and expand and are this lovely ruby red color. I want to get some sweet luggage tags for them to really make them feel special. Now, I just have to practice packing… if you have any tips please share because I am about as lost as my father in a Sephora

SHOES

I wanted to pick up a pair of good walking shoes that I could easily pair with whatever outfit. I have a pair of off-white canvas sneakers that I basically wear every day but I wanted something a little bit more waterproof and easy to clean with all the London rain. I picked up a pair of classic Adidas sneakers and boy are they comfy. They have memory foam in them so they will be great for walking around all day.

After researching London fashion and getting advice from people who have been there before I learned that ankle boots are the way to go. These were on sale for $16!! (I am going to get excited when I mention all the things I got on sale, just letting you know) I love how I could dress 'em up with a dress and tights or dress 'em down with jeans. The heel is great too because I am just about 5'3" so the two inches really help. I plan on waterproofing all my shoes and bags with waterproofing spray to really ensure I stay dry in London this fall.

FOREVER 21 HAUL

The main things I wanted to pick up were business casual/ dressy items. I am going to have an internship while abroad which means I will be working in an office during the week. It’s really the biggest category of clothing I am lacking.

SO... I picked up a few dresses. I got a tan button down dress that has a tie around the waist. Since I am so short I like to wear dresses that have a little bit of shape to them because if I don't, I look like a child in their mother’s clothes playing dress up. I also got a long sleeve grey dress for $5!!! And this yellow wrap dress which was not $5 but I splurged because yellow is my favorite color at the moment. (You can’t always get a bargain for the things you love...) I like all these dresses because they can be fancy or casual which is truly the theme to this haul isn’t it?

I got this pair of houndstooth (what a terrifying name for such a classy pattern) pants that look so London-y. I just really needed business pants and these gave me that vibe. They are also like so comfy cause they stretch and are soft so Thank Jeff Goldblum! (That's me trying to invent new slang for Thank God...)

I also picked up these two tops. One is this black semi-cropped long sleeve shirt for $7!! And this blush crossy-front..? (I don’t know how to describe clothes, I am honestly just guessing here… sorry Tim Gunn) dress top for FREE. Finding out items are BOGO at the register is honestly the nicest surprise.

Finally I picked up two more gold necklaces to add to my ever growing gold necklace collection. They are so cheap at Forever 21 and can easily make you look at least like 25% more fancy. I got this simple pearl necklace and this layered necklace for $3!! BOGO strikes again!

(Stay tuned for a very special jewelry haul in the near future)

H&M HAUL

I finished my day at H&M for just for look-sies and I am glad that I did because there were some STEALS. I got this… is this considered plaid?… blazer/coat/sweater thing for $10!!! I feel like such a business woman in it.

GIVE ME THOSE STATUS REPORTS STAT vibes ya know? And it was $40 off so I am just live-ing.

I also got this comfy off-white cable knit sweater for again $10!!!!! It’s like being caressed by that weird cloud character in the new Trolls movie. (BTW Trolls is my favorite new kids movie, but nothing can ever replace my favorite of Happy Feet <3) This sweater is also great for layering. Gotta keep pretending I'm giving advice here.

Finally I got another pair of dressy pants. These are SO COMFY. They are long, flow-y, and soft. This picture I took doesn't do them justice. They are basically pajama pants but with a pair of heels BOOM- fancy living here we come!

And that’s it from this Big (Ben) London Haul! I liked how this whole post started off with jokes, then gave you honest advice about what shoes I got, only to be finished with me trying to give you fashion advice but ultimately just cracking jokes whenever I could. If you want honest fashion advice from me, let me know (but I honestly doubt you would want that because I have been dressing like a hipster mom from like age 12 and you really don't want advice from THAT...) 💛🐝
